ShipIntel Mobile: Add & Remove Vessel Segments

This article will explain how to add and remove vessel segments in your ShipIntel map.

ShipIntel organizes vessels into 14 different segments. You can display all segments on the map or select only the ones you wish to view. This guide will show you how to manage these options.


Add & Remove Vessel Segments

Step 1

Ensure your screen displays the ShipIntel map. Tap the vessel icon in the upper-right corner, just below the search bar. A vessel segment menu will appear, listing all 10 vessel segments available in ShipIntel.

Scroll down to view all segments.

Step 2

Each vessel segment in ShipIntel contains sub-segments. In total, ShipIntel offers 79 sub-segments, and managing them in the mobile app is quick and simple!

Tap the vessel segment you want to display on your screen. A new list will show the sub-segments within that segment, and you have two options:

  1. Add All Sub-Segments: Tap "All sub-segments" to add them to your map. All toggles in the list will turn blue, confirming your selection.

  2. Add Specific Sub-Segments: Tap individual sub-segments to add them to your map. The toggles for the selected sub-segments will turn blue, while unselected ones will remain grey.

You can return to the vessel segment menu and repeat this process for other vessel segments, selecting as many sub-segments from as many segments as needed.

To view all 79 sub-segments at once, tap "Show all ships" at the top of the menu.

The number of selected sub-segments will be displayed in a blue circle when returning to the menu. Once you're satisfied with your selections, close the menu by tapping outside of it or dragging it down.

Step 3

To remove or modify the vessel segments displayed on your map, simply reopen the menu and adjust the toggles as needed. Blue toggles indicate segments are active, while grey toggles mean they are turned off.
