Pre-populated Technical Detail Templates

Create private technical details for vessels you follow with pre-populated templates as a start.

Edit and Add your own Information

Add, edit and save additional information ensuring that you and your team always have updated information. The information you add is only available to you and your team members.

Getting Started - How to Create a Vessel Template

1) Go to Technical Vessel Details

Click on "Technical Vessel Details" under Files and Documentation in the left side menu bar.

2) Click on Create template

In the top right-hand corner, click on the "Create Template" button.

3) Search and select

Search for the vessel, select from the list of search results and click on "Create template" in the bottom-right corner of the search screen.

4) View details and Add your own

The pre-filled template contain information on various sections and fields. Scroll from the list of sections, search for vessel details from the search bar and view the section details to the right.


Sections of Technical Vessel Details Available

The various sections cover all the essential sections with information, specifications and details about a ship. You can add to, and edit each section, except for the vessel name and segment.

  • Add info if vessel comply with the ICS Helicopter Guidelines. Add info about

    • Connection method provided by the vessel

    • Diameter of circle provided (in meters)


Ballast

Total capacity of ballast tanks

Add information about Capacity, number of tanks and total tank capacity for;

  • Forepeak, Wing/Side, Double bottom, Aft peak and other.

Ballasting time and rate

Add information about

  • (if) The vessel is able to ballast/de-ballast within the cargo loading/discharing period

  • (If) The vessel can undertake ballast exchange at sea within 24 hours

  • Ballasting time and ballasting rate

  • Deballasting time and deballasting rate

Pumps

Add information about the vessel's pumps for:

  • Nu, Unit capacity, Total capacity, Model, Type, Setting, Location, Controlled from, and Head (SG=1).

Enter and set units and values specific to (each):

  • Pump(s), Educators, Emergency fire pumps, and Bilge pumps


Cargo

Holds and Capacities

Add information, data and specific values about the vessels' holds and capabilities on:

  • Hold name/number, Grain capacity, Weight capacity (summer draft), Height, Length, Width, and Tank top strength.

    • Add additional rows if desired

  • Total cubic capacity (grain) and Total cubic capacity (bale)

Cargo Arrangements

  • Bulkhead corrugations (horisontal or vertical)

  • Vessel Hold Paint Type

Here, you can also tick of options such as (but not limited to) if:

The vessel’s holds are clear and free of any obstructions, (if) The vessel is strengthened for the carriage of heavy cargoes, (if the) Holds are electrically ventilated, and (if) The vessel is fitted for carriage of grain in accordance with chapter V1 of SOLAS 1974, to mention a few.

Hopper tanks

Add info, set values and tick of on

  • Hold side, Forward bulkhead, and aft bulkhead

  • Height and distance from vessel’s side at tank top)

Flat floor measurements of cargo holds at tank top

Add row with your own information

  • Number, diameter, and location of cement holes

  • Add your own information in the text field and save

Deck And Hatches

Set and save the

  • Hatch span distance (front of forward hatch to aft of rear hatch)

  • Distance from bow to fore of 1st hold opening

  • Distance from stern to aft of last hold opening

  • Deck strength

  • Number of hatches and hatch dimensions

  • Hatch covers (Make, Type, Strength, and additional notes)

Cargo Gear (if applicable)

If not pre-filled, add your own private information and set values on anything from Make and Type to Hosting time, Luffing time and the Time needed for full cycle with maximum cargo lift on hook.

Grabs and Cranes

Enrich the technical vessel detail template with info about the type, capacity, power source, number (of) and SWL of the vessels' Grabs and Cranes.

Derricks (for provisions)

Visible only to you and your team, you can add information and specifications about the vessels derricks.

Logs (if applicable)

State the number, type, and height of stanchions/sockets, if on board, as well as for the Timber Load Line (if applicable).

Container (if applicable)

If applicable to vessel, essential container-information can be added on anything from;

the number and type of reefer plugs, to TEU (twenty-foot equivalent unit) info on capacity in direct stow and advised stack weights, as well as the advised number of tiers on/under the deck for FEUs (forty-foot equivalent unit).


Mooring and Towage

Adding to your team's technical vessel details database, have essential information ready in ShipIntel on the;

  • Wires (on drums)

  • Wire Tails

  • Ropes (on drums)

  • Other Lines

  • Winches

  • Bitts, Closed Chocks/Fairleads

Specify units and values on the;

  • Number, Type, Diameter, Material, Length, Break strength and more, for the

Specify the details of the vessels' operations for the;

  • Security Level (ISSC): Security level at which the ship is currently operating (ISSC).

  • Vessel's voyage operations: Charterer, Caro, Load Port (and Arrival Date), Discharge port (and Arrival Date), and the Charterparty.

  • Involvements Past 12 Months: Such as Pollution, Grounding, Serious Casualty or Collision, with date(s), place and details.


Constants and Fresh Water

Specify details for the vessel regarding

  • Fresh Water: Such as capacity, consumption, Daily production of evaporator and more.

  • Constants: Constants excluding fresh water (MT), Spares/stores capacity, Lube oil capacity, and Misc constants.
