How to Access & Manage Vessel Cards in ShipIntel

In this guide, we will show you how to access and understand the vessel cards in ShipIntel.

Learn how to access detailed information about vessels in ShipIntel using the vessel information cards. These cards provide comprehensive details to help you better understand each vessel.

How to Access a Vessel Card - Through Search

1) Search for the Vessel:

Use the search bar to find the vessel of interest.

2) Select the Vessel:

Click on the vessel in the search results.

3) View the Vessel Information Card:

  • The vessel's information card will appear on the left-hand side of the screen.

  • This card includes information such as current speed, draft, vessel type, ETA, destination port, technical details, historical AIS and more.

4) Access Additional Actions:

In addition to the details and information available on the vessel card, there are several actions you can do from here. From the top right corner, you can, among other things:

How to Access a Vessel Card - Through Hover & Click

1) Locate the Vessel:

Find the vessel on the map.

2) Hover Over the Vessel Icon:

  • Hovering over the icon will display a minimized vessel info card.

  • This pop-up includes the vessel's flag, type, route, deadweight, current speed, build year, and the last AIS signal time.

3) Select the Vessel Icon:

Click on the vessel icon for more details.

4) View the Vessel Information Card:

  • The vessel's information card will appear on the left-hand side of the screen.

  • This card includes comprehensive details such as speed, draft, type, ETA, destination port, and technical information. It also allows you to make notes, set notifications, and view the voyage history.

5) Access Additional Actions:

  • Click the "Actions" button for extended information and options:

  • Locate the vessel on the map

  • Add a note

  • Create a route

  • Add the vessel to a list

  • View detailed vessel information

6) Return to the Map:

Click the arrow button at the upper-left corner to return to the map and the vessel's position.

Tips and Additional Information

  • Shape Indicators: Use the shape of vessel icons to quickly determine if a vessel is anchored or sailing.

    • A rounded shape indicates that the vessel is at anchorage or at port

    • An arrow shape indicates that the vessel is sailing

  • Vessel Actions: Utilize the actions menu for more detailed vessel management.
