ShipIntel Mobile: A Quick Guide to Menus and Key Features

Our goal is to help you get a clear understanding of ShipIntel right from the start, so we've created this brief guide to give you a quick overview of what each button does.

ShipIntel Main Menu

The ShipIntel Main Menu is located at the bottom of your screen at all times.

Where to access the map at all times?

To access the map at any given point, simply click on the "Globe" icon at the bottom of your screen.

Where to create lists of ships, access notifications, and unlock ships?

To access your team resources, click the "Folder" icon in the bottom menu of your screen. The resources include notes, photos, vessel and port lists, the maritime contact book, and notifications. For more details, visit our guide here.

Where to create sea routes?

To access the Sea Route feature, click the "Sea Route" icon in your mobile app. This lets you create and save routes from a vessel's real-time AIS position to one or multiple ports, or between different ports. For more details, visit our guides here.

Where to seek help, manage your profile settings, and upgrade?

If you wish to access chat or guides, edit or manage your profile, or upgrade, click on the "Person" icon. Learn how to manage your profile properly here.


The ShipIntel Map Menu

The ShipIntel Map Menu is located at the top of your screen when viewing the ShipIntel map on your mobile device.

Where to quickly search for ships or ports of interest?

To quickly search vessels and ports, simply click on the search bar and start writing the name or IMO/MMSI ship number to find the ship or port of your interest. To learn more about how to search for ships and ports, visit our guide here.

Click the "Bell" icon in the search bar to quickly view your notifications, such as vessel arrivals at ports or changes in destinations. You can also add new notifications or manage old ones. For more details, visit our guide here.

Where to see ships nearby me?

Click the "Location" icon below the search bar on the left to view ships within a 10km (6 miles) radius.

Where to view and select ship segments?

Click the "Vessel" icon below the search bar to choose vessel segments to view on your map. For more details on adding or removing vessel segments, visit our guide

Where to view and select ports visited by specific segment ships?

Click the "Anchor" icon below the search bar to view ports visited by different vessel segments. For more details on adding or removing ports, visit our guide.

Where to customize the map style and layers to your needs?
