ShipAtlas has made it easy for our users to add notes to vessels or ports, and it is the same way for both of them.
How to Add notes to a Vessel or Port
Open a vessel or port card card and click on the "Notes" button in the vessel card menu. You can also find this button in an expanded vessel card.
A pop-up overview of your notes will appear on the right side of your screen.
Here you can edit previous notes belonging to this vessel or port card, delete them and create new ones. Just remember to click the blue button that says "save/create" when you are done creating or editing a note.
When you are done, close the menu by clicking on the "X" in the upper left corner of it.
How to Access Your Notes from "My Resources"
Click on the "Notes" section in the sidebar menu.
This will give you access to an overview of all your notes in ShipAtlas.
In the FREE and Standard Plan, the notebook will be presenting the vessel notes and port notes in two different columns. If you want to change or delete any of them, click on the vessel or port and repeat the steps explained above.
In the Premium plan, all of your notes will be presented in one column sorted by date, but you now have the option to use filters to easily separate your notes from each other. You can sort by date, subject (vessel, port, vessel list, or port list), and author. You can even use a search bar to search for the content of any note.
The applied filters will appear on top of the screen.

If you want to delete any of your notes you can simply hover over the one you want to delete and click on the trash icon that appears on the left side of the note.
Step 2 is not needed! It is that easy 😉
You now know how to add notes to your vessels or ports.
In our next guide, we will explain how to create a sea route from a vessel's position.
