To better organize the vessels you want to keep track of in ShipAtlas, you can add them to a vessel list. Add as many vessels as you want to a vessel list and create as many vessel lists as you need!

How to Create a Vessel List

Step 1

In the sidebar menu, there is a section called "My Resources".

From here you can access your vessel lists by clicking on the option called on "Vessel Lists".

Step 2

You will be brought to the "Vessel lists" page in ShipAtlas. This is where you access previous lists and create new ones. Click on the blue button that says "Create a vessel list", in the upper right corner of your screen to begin!

Step 3

The first thing you will need to do is decide the name of your list, then click on "Done".

After clicking on the "Done" button you will find yourself inside your new vessel list.

Start adding vessels to your new list by clicking on the "Add vessels" buttons.

A search pop-up will appear on your screen where you can search for the vessels you want to add. You can search by name, IMO, or MMS. You can also add filters to your search by clicking the blue button in the search bar.

Step 4

A search pop-up will appear on your screen where you can search for the vessels you want to add. You can search by name, IMO, or MMS. You can also add filters to your search by clicking the "Filters" button in the upper right corner of the search bar.

After your search is complete, you can select the vessels you want to add by clicking on them. A blue circle will appear next to the ones you select. To unselect, click on the same vessel one more time.

Note that if you want to select many vessels in a row, click on the first one, hold in "Shift" on your keyboard and then click on the last vessel.

When you are happy with your choices, click on the blue button at the button that says "Done". You have now created a vessel list.

The Structure of a Vessel List

One of the first things you will notice is probably the name of your list. Below the name is the name of the creator, the number of vessels, the date when the list was created, and the date of the last update on the list.

In the upper right corner, you can see four buttons. Reading from the left these are the "View in map", "Notes", "See More" and "Add Vessels" buttons.

Then you have the list of all the vessels you have added to your list.

When hovering over the name of a vessel you can see an "X" appear on the right side of the screen. If you click on it, you will remove that vessel from your list.

If you click on a vessel, however, you will open its vessel card.

When you are done making changes to your vessel list click on the arrow in the upper left corner to return to the "Vessel Lists" page and create more vessel lists!
