π ShipAtlas by Maritime Optima is a data and knowledge driven maritime software empowering you and your colleagues to work from anywhere.
To start using ShipAtlas, you will first need a user account. If you donβt have one already, you can sign up for free here: app.maritimeoptima.com |
With ShipAtlas you will get real-time positions and vessel data on more than 85.000 ships. You will see the real-time AIS positions of all the vessels in the map provided by more than 700 satellites and terrestrial AIS senders.
βAfter we have collected the data, we spend time and knowledge in data wrangling. We clean and unify the messy and complex data sets for easy access and analysis, so you can get the most out of the vessel data we provide.
Every vessel has some public information, but you can also create and save some private info and notes.
Public vessel data is available to all the users, and confidential (private) information is available and visible only for you.

Public information about vessels
Under each vessel you will find this public information:
AIS position updated every 10th minute
Destination and ETA and course of the vessel
Public questionnaire / technical vessel description
Voyage trading history (based on historical AIS data)

Some of the public data in ShipAtlas is free and visible for everyone, and some of the public data is a part of the Standard Plan.
Real-time AIS positions with last port and next port, and vessel historical AIS track for all the vessels are included in the Standard Subscription Plan.

The type of technical data that will not change throughout the vessels life: summer dwt, summer draft, LOA, TPC, and beam etc. We collect and pay for vessel data from publicly available sources and we are frequently updating the public vessel description.
You will also get information on certificates and expiry dates, insurance, change of ownership, flag, different types of ownership (commercial owner, disponent owner, registered owner, technical manager etc). You can search within the questionnaire templates for any technical description like "dwt" and "cubic".
Private information about vessels
Examples of the confidential information you may add:
Contacts (here you can add contact details attached to any vessel)

Private questionnaires which you can save and edit
