The world's merchant fleet at your fingertips

ShipAtlas by Maritime Optima is a FREEmium vessel data software. It means that you are offered a free subscription plan, and if you later want to upgrade to a paid standard plan, you can do that inside the application in the e-commerce shop (both in web and mobile app).

The registration is free and easy, and it takes only a minute. You can create a user account by using an e-mail + password or your can use the sign on services from Google, LinkedIn, Microsoft or Apple.

With a free user account, you will also have access to our free support and customer service.

We will continue upgrading and improving the product based on user feedback. We will not display any ads. We encrypt your data. We require grade A in the SSL LABs TLS Test of our backend application server. ShipAtlas is of-course fully GDPR compliant.


Available cross-platforms

There is no need to download or install any software onto your computer to begin using ShipAtlas. It is a web-based application that works on most modern web browsers.

ShipAtlas app is also available on most Android and iPhone devices.


Your settings and content are automatically synced between your devices, so you can access your Maritime Optima account from any device using the same log in details.

We recommend you to use both the mobile app and desktop application to get the best of ShipAtlas by Maritime Optima. Both app versions have its benefits.

Our goal is to develop a software useful for everyone who works in the maritime business based on user feedback. You will find ShipAtlas helpful if you are working with vessel data, tracking and trades, port activities, congestions, sea routes, marine weather, ice conditions, piracy, zones and maps.

Data Quality

Every second we collect AIS data for more than 85.000 vessels from more than 700 AIS satellites and terrestrial senders. We combine the AIS data with other publicly available vessel data sources, and we clean and process the complex data sets before sharing it with our users. Our goal is to help you to create your own maritime chartering office and adjust it to your needs.
