Choose the market you work with

When you login for the first time, we will ask you what vessel segments are you interested in - dry cargo, tankers or maybe LNG? After you view a short onboarding tour, you will see a chosen segment (or segments) applied to your map. You can always change these settings and hide those vessel segments, or apply new ones.

It will let you to get an overview of the segment and sub-segment you are involved in, so you know where the vessels in your segment and sub-segment are trading.

With ShipAtlas you will get real-time positions and vessel data on more than 85.000 ships

You will see the real-time AIS positions of all the vessels in the map provided by more than 700 satellites and terrestrial AIS senders.

The vessels are divided into different segments and sub-segments, so you can search and track vessels matching your search criteria: Dry bulk, Tanker, Chemical, LPG, LNG, Container, Car carrier, Oil service, Combo, Other.

You can choose different colors for different vessel types, so it would be easier to track vessels on the map.

You will see, that some vessels are in motion, and some are moored or anchored.

When you make a list of vessels (your fleet, competitors or just vessels you are monitoring), the vessels in your list will be shown on the map with a circle around.

And if you zoom in, you can see the precise vessel shapes.

If you are using a web version, you will find "Vessel segments" in the menu on the right side. Just choose the types of vessels you would like to see on the map. Change the colors if you want.

Mobile App

If you are using a mobile device, you can find the "Vessel segments" icon in the bottom menu. The vessels within the segments you have chosen will appear on your map.

When you have selected the segment and sub-segments of vessels you need, you can continue building your personalized map by adding Vessel lists or other information layers.

You can also create lists of ports and vessels, use Sea Route Calculator, different map layers, upload pictures, add vessel details and share notes with your team.

We will talk more about it in the next chapters.
