With the ShipAtlas Standard plan on the web, you can unlock up to 5 ships in various ways. If you wish to explore and learn more about a specific ship that you know, you can unlock them by using our search option. This guide will walk you through the process on how to do it in the ShipAtlas Web application.

Note: This action can be performed if you have at least one available slot for ship unlocking. If you don't have available slots, check out our guide on how to remove already unlocked ships under ShipAtlas Standard plan.

Step 1:

Click on the search bar located on the upper-left side of the screen and start typing the ship's name or its IMO/MMSI number. Once the ship of your interest appears in search results, click on it.

Step 2:

After clicking on the ship you’re interested in, ShipAtlas will navigate you to the region or port where the ship is currently located and display the ship’s information card on the left side of the screen.

Below the ship's name and picture, you will see a field with an "Unlock ship" button. Click this button to unlock the ship and gain access to its live AIS position and other important data and information.

Once unlocked, the ship will be marked on your map with a yellow star around its icon for easy identification. You can always overview your unlocked ships by clicking on "Unlocked Ships" section in the sidebar menu.

Congratulations!🎉
