Written by Kenneth Edgar Boultwood Nergård

Latitude and longitude coordinates give you a precise overview of a vessel's current position and past movements, making it easier to track its location and travel history.

View Current Coordinates

Step 1

Open a vessel information card by clicking on a vessel directly on the map or by searching for it in the search bar.

Step 2

The vessel's live coordinates are displayed in the Current Position section of the vessel information card. You can also zoom in on the map and hover your cursor over the end of the solid blue route line to display the coordinates for the most recently received position.

View Past Coordinates

Step 1

Open a vessel information card by clicking on a vessel directly on the map or by searching for it in the search bar.

Step 2

Zoom in on the map and hover your cursor anywhere along the solid blue route line. The latitude, longitude, timestamp, and vessel speed at that specific point will be displayed.

💡 Tip: This is a great way to investigate maritime incidents such as groundings. You can see exactly when and where an incident occurred, and how long the vessel was affected.
