Knowing a ship's current latitude and longitude coordinates is important because it allows you to track its exact location and see its current position on a map. For some of our users, this information can provide a clearer picture of where the ship is and where it's headed. Therefore, this guide will tell you how to access Lat & Long coordinates for a given ship in ShipAtlas mobile app.

Step 1 & 2:

Search for the ship of your interest by using search bar. Once it appears in the search results, click on it. Once you click on the ship of your interest from the search results, you will be taken to the map. Together with the ship's Live AIS position on map and tracks, you will also be automatically shown ship's information card at the bottom part of the screen.

Click on "See more" button located at the top-right corner of the ship information card to be one step closer to the given ship's cooridinates.

Step 3:

After clicking the "See more" button, a more detailed ship information card will appear. Swipe up until you reach the section labeled "Vessel coordinates." Here, you'll find the precise current Latitude and Longitude coordinates of the ship you're interested in.
