How to Cancel or Change Your Subscription Plan on ShipAtlas' Web Application

In this article, we will explain how to cancel or change your subscription in ShipAtlas.

This guide is meant for all users who started their subscription through the ShipAtlas web version.

If you started your subscription in the ShipAtlas app, you will also have to cancel it there. You can learn more about how to do it HERE.

How to Cancel Your Subscription Plan on ShipAtlas Web App

Step 1

Click on your icon in the left corner at the bottom of your screen. You will be brought to an overview of your profile in ShipAtlas.

Step 2

In the middle of your screen, your current plan will be shown. Next to this, there will be a blue button saying "Manage subscription". To cancel your current plan, click on this button.

Step 3

You will now find yourself inside Stripe, a ShipAtlas subscription shop. It will look similar to the picture below.

To cancel your current subscription, click on the "Cancel plan" button on the right side of your screen. You will then have to confirm your choice of cancellation by clicking on a similar button that once again says "Cancel plan".

Note: On this page, Stripe will also tell you when your current billing period will end. Usually, the date of your current billing period does not match the date of your cancellation. Therefore, it is normal that you will continue to have access to all the paid features until your last subscription payment runs out.

Step 4

After having canceled your plan, ShipAtlas may ask you for the reason for your cancellation. If you have the time we would always like to hear your feedback to help grow our product. Simply click on the suggested reason you feel fit for you and/or add some additional feedback. Then, click "Submit". You can also skip this part by clicking on the "No thanks" button.

You will be brought back to Stripe where you get an overview of your last billing period.

Remember, that if you regret your choice you can always click on "Renew plan" in the upper right corner, or if your last subscription was not a fit for you, you can try another one by clicking on "Update plan".

When you are happy with your choices, return to ShipAtlas by Clicking on

"Return to Maritime Optima AS" on the right side of your screen.


How to Change Your Subscription Plan on ShipAtlas Web App

Step 1

Upgrading your subscription plan is an easy fix in the ShipAtlas app.

Simply follow the same steps (1 & 2) from above, but instead of clicking on the cancellation button, you can choose "Update plan".

Step 2

Update your plan according to your needs. Simply click on the subscription you want to change to! In our example, we are showing an upgrade from a one-year subscription in the Standard Plan to a one-year subscription in the Premium Plan. You could of course change the length of the different subscriptions as well 😊.

Step 3

Click continue and confirm your choice to make an upgrade.

You will be brought back to the start page in Stripe where you get an overview of your new subscription plan. Return to ShipAtlas by Clicking on "Return to Maritime Optima AS" on the right side of your screen.
