  • INL

  • Polar Zones

  • Sea Ice

  • Canals

  • EEZ

  • Load Lines

  • Anti-Shipping Activity

  • Wind Farms

💡Good to know

  • Map layers are not available when using the Satellite map style

  • Some layers require you to zoom in to become visible

ECA / SECA zones

ECA/SECA stands for Emission Control Area / Sulphur Emission Control Area.

These zones regulate sulphur emissions from ships.

  • Since January 1, 2020, the IMO requires sulphur emissions to be reduced from 3.5% to 0.5% globally

  • In designated ECAs (e.g., North Sea, Baltic Sea), stricter limits of 0.1% apply

💡 Tip: Click on a zone to view specific regulations for that area.

INL

INL defines where ships can operate without additional insurance premiums.

💡 Tip: Click on a zone to see detailed navigation limits and requirements.

Polar Zones

These zones show areas covered by the IMO’s Polar Code, which regulates operations in polar waters.

💡 Tip: Click a zone to learn more about applicable rules.

Sea Ice

Displays current sea ice conditions.

  • Updated daily from NSIDC

💡 Tip: Useful for planning safe routes in cold regions.
