The position list is a great tool for a charterer, a broker, and a ship owner. It can be used as a tool to assess the competition for a cargo in a certain window.

To start building the list click on position list in the left hand meny.

Then you have to choose which segment of ships you are building a list of; Dry, Tankers, Chemical, LPG or LNG.

Next you enter the laycan of your cargo. i.e. the window the vessel is supposed to present itself ready to load.

You can then fill in the cargo details. If you do not find your cargo type in the drop down menus you can enter the name and specific gravity manually.

There is also an option to limit the search further by changing the summer deadweight, the cubic capacity or age of the vessel. If you are working with a small cargo with low specific gravity you will get a better result if you increase the deadweight a bit.

You will now see a list of vessels suitable for the cargo size and the loading dates. You now have a choice of saving the list or going back to edit the parameters. When you have saved the list you are now ready to start working with it.
