Quick Intro on the Main Buttons and Their Purpose

This guide provides simplified and brief descriptions of the main buttons and their functions.

We aim for you to have a clear understanding of ShipAtlas from the very start, so we have created this brief guide to give you a quick overview of what's behind each button.

If you're looking to quickly access a specific chapter of this guide, simply click on the chapter you'd like to view.

Where to view and select vessel segments?

You can view and choose vessel segments by clicking on the "Vessel" icon. This will allow you to choose the vessel segments that you see on your map. To learn more about how to add vessel sub-segments and segments, visit our guide here.

Where to view and select port segments?

You can view and choose port segments by clicking on the "Anchor" icon. This will allow you to choose the ports and port segments that are displayed on your map. To learn more about how to add and combine port segments, visit our guide here.

Where to quickly search for the vessels or ports of interest?

To quickly search vessels and ports, simply click on the search bar and start writing the name or IMO/MMSI vessel number to find the vessel of your interest. To learn more about how to search for vessels and ports, visit our guide here.

Where to customize the map style and layers to your needs?

To change the map style and add map layers to the map, click on the "Brush" icon under the search bar. To learn more about the purpose of the map layers, visit our guide here.

Where to access the map at all times?

To access the map at any given point, simply click on the "Globe" icon at the bottom of your screen.

Where to see remaining limited features?

Even though, on the free plan, most of the features are free forever, some are limited. In order to follow the count of the remaining limited free features, click on "Dollar" icon. To learn more about the limited features, visit our guide here.

Where to plan and create sea routes?

If you wish to create and plan sea routes from given ship or port, click on "Route" icon at the bottom of your screen.

Where to create lists of vessels and ports?

To create vessel lists and ports, overview notifications, notes and photos, click on the "Folder" icon at the bottom of your screen.

Where to seek help, manage your profile settings, and upgrade?

If you wish to access chat or guides, edit or manage your profile, or upgrade, click on the "Person" icon.
