Map styles in ShipAtlas let you customize how your map looks based on your needs and preferences.
How to Change the Map Style
Follow these steps to update your map style in ShipAtlas.
Step 1
Go to the map view in ShipAtlas
Click the paintbrush icon (Styles and Layers) in the upper-right corner
Step 2
Browse the available map styles. Click on your preferred option.
Available styles include:
Light theme
Dark theme
Satellite map
💡 Tip: Use the dark theme for better visibility in low-light environments
You can also choose between:
Standard map projection
3D globe projection
⚠️ Note: Map layers are not available when using the Satellite map style.
Step 3
The map will update immediately after you select a new style. Click the “X” in the upper-left corner to close the menu.
💡 Tip: Switch to the 3D globe projection for a more interactive view of global vessel positions.
