ShipAtlas map styles can be useful for different times of day, whether it's night or day, or if you want to view ship positions on a satellite map for better reference of their current locations. ShipAtlas' map styles feature also lets you choose between viewing your ships in a standard map projection, or a 3D globe projection

This guide will show you how to play around with different map styles in ShipAtlas!

How to Change the Style of Your ShipAtlas Map

Step 1:

Ensure your screen is displaying the map page in ShipAtlas. Then, click on the paintbrush icon located in the upper-right corner of your screen.

Step 2:

Select your preferred map style by clicking on it. You can choose between a dark theme, a light theme, and a satellite map. You can also choose to view your map with either a standard map projection or a 3D globe projection.

Once you click on a new map style, you will immediately notice your ShipAtlas map change in the background.

Step 3:

After choosing your map style, close the map layer menu by clicking on the "X" in the upper-left corner of the menu. Enjoy the view!
