ShipAtlas sea route calculator is one of a kind since you create route from ships live AIS position to any port of your choice. In this guide, we will show how you can do it.

Step 1:

Search for the ship you want to create a route with using the search bar, type its name and then select the ship from search results by clicking on it.

Step 2:

After selecting the ship from your search results, ShipAtlas will navigate to the ship's current position, and the ship information card will appear at the bottom of your screen.

To create a sea route from the ship's live AIS position, click the blue button with the "Route" icon on it.

Step 3:

After clicking the blue button with the "Route" icon, a new screen will appear where you can add your desired port for routing the selected ship.

Click on the "+Add port" button and search for the port by typing its name or LOCODE. Once the port appears in the search results, click on it to add it as a destination point for the route.

Step 4:

You can add multiple ports within your route and adjust the speed, if needed, to see how it affects the ETA and other voyage details. Once everything is set, click "Show route" to view the route and details such as ETA, distance to the destination, days at sea, and more.

Note: If you do not change the speed settings, ship's current speed will be taken into consideration for time calculations.
