Unlocking a vessel allows you to track up to five vessels with live AIS data at the same time, including position, track, and voyage details.
You can unlock vessels directly from the map, using the Search bar, or through My Resources.
Unlock a Vessel From the Map 🌎
Step 1
Find and select the vessel directly on the map or by using the search bar.
The vessel’s live AIS position will appear on the map,
and the vessel information card will be shown at the bottom of the screen.
Step 2
Tap Unlock Ship in the vessel information card, and confirm your choice.
⚠️ Note: You must have at least one available slot (out of 5) to unlock a new vessel. If all slots are filled, see our guide on how to remove unlocked vessels.
Step 3
Live AIS information and position for the vessel will now be available.
The vessel will be marked with a yellow star on the map for easy identification.
Unlock a Vessel from My Resources 📁
Step 1
Open My Resources and select Unlocked vessels.
You will see up to five slots, representing the number of vessels you can unlock at the same time. Tap an available slot labeled Add a vessel.
⚠️ Note: You must have at least one available slot (out of 5) to unlock a new vessel. If all slots are filled, see our guide on how to remove unlocked vessels.
Step 2
Search for the vessel by entering its name, IMO, or MMSI, and select it from the results. A confirmation message will appear. Tap Confirm to unlock the vessel.
Step 3
Live AIS information and position for the vessel will now be available.
The vessel will be marked with a yellow star on the map for easy identification.
Once you have unlocked one ship, you can also unlock additional ones by repeating the steps mentioned above in this guide.
