How to Add Photos to a Vessel or Port – ShipAtlas Mobile

In this guide, you will learn how to add and take photos of vessels in ShipAtlas.

Adding photos allows you to document vessels or ports, and keep your images organized directly in the app.


Add Photos to a Vessel or Port

In ShipAtlas, you can add photos to a vessel’s or port's information card. These photos are only visible to you.

You can either take a photo in the app or upload one from your gallery.

Take a Photo in the ShipAtlas App

Step 1

Select the vessel or port directly on the map, or by using the search bar.
The information card will be shown at the bottom of the screen.

Step 2

Tap the Camera icon in the row of blue buttons.

Select Camera, and allow ShipAtlas access to your camera.

Step 3

Take the photo, and tap confirm if you are happy with your photo.

The image will be saved to the photo gallery inside the information card.

Add a Photo from Your Personal Gallery

Step 1

Select the vessel or port directly on the map, or by using the search bar.
The information card will be shown at the bottom of the screen.

Step 2

Tap the Camera icon in the row of blue buttons, and select gallery.

Allow ShipAtlas access to your photo gallery.

Step 3

Select a photo from your personal gallery.

The image will be saved to the photo gallery inside the information card.


Access a Photo Gallery

Once uploaded, you can view your photos in the vessel's or port's information card.

Step 1

Select See more in the information card to open it fully. Scroll to the My recent photos section.

Step 2

Tap See All to view the full photo gallery, and select any photo to view it in full size.

💡Tip: Tap the + icon in the upper right corner of the gallery to add more photos.
