Sleek, Intuitive Map Experience
The interactive map lets you explore nearby vessels and tap them to view details such as technical information, flag, and potential destination.
🌟 PREMIUM: On the free and standard plans, nearby vessels are shown by segment only. Detailed vessel information is exclusive to the Premium plan.
You can also zoom, rotate, and move the map to better understand where vessels are located around you.
View Vessels Near Your Location
Step 1
Tap the Location icon on the left side of the map, below the search bar.
⚠️ Note: Make sure location access is enabled for the ShipAtlas app in your mobile settings. ShipAtlas needs access to your location to show nearby vessels.

Step 2
Tap the vessel icon you want to explore.
The information card will appear, showing details such as:
Vessel name
Flag
Vessel type
Potential destination
Step 3
Tap See More on the information card to view additional technical details about the vessel.
Navigate the Map
You can move around the map to explore vessels anywhere in the world.
Zoom in: Place two fingers on the screen and spread them apart
Zoom out: Pinch your fingers together
Rotate the map: Twist two fingers on the screen
The Compass icon aligns the map to face north. The Center on User button keeps the map focused on your location — if you move the map manually, tap it again to re-center.
💡 Tip: Zoom out to explore vessels beyond your immediate area — or all the way out to see every vessel in the world.
