Search for a Vessel or Port
You can quickly find vessels and ports directly from the search bar on the ShipAtlas map.
Step 1
Open the ShipAtlas map. Tap the Search bar at the top of the screen.
Choose whether you want to search for a Vessel or a Port.
Step 2
Start typing the name of the vessel or port.
As you type, ShipAtlas will display a list of matching vessels or ports. Review the suggested results, and tap the vessel or port you want to view.
💡Tip: If you cannot find the vessel or port you are looking for, type more letters to narrow your search.
The selected vessel or port will appear on the map, along with its information card. Users on the free plan will experience limited information.

IMO number for vessels
MMSI number for vessels
UN/LOCODE for ports
To Explore Ports in a Specific Country:
Select the Ports option in the search.
Enter the country name.
Add Filters to Your Search in ShipAtlas
ShipAtlas also allows you to add filters to your search. Filters help you quickly find specific vessels or ports by applying additional criteria to your search.
